BEEN A WHILE

Well, its been a while.  Last Friday we picked up Dorothy and headed up to Kamloops.  The roads were pretty wicked but fortunately for all Bill is an ace driver in the snow and ice, even though he is 78.  We stopped in Abbotsford at the Snitzel House for dinner and it was delicious.  I think Dorothy was a little skeptical...she wasn't sure about exactly what Snitzel was.

We had a great weekend.  Kathy's new house is absolutely magnificent.  I think she truly is in her dream house.  This the first time I am seeing her really decorating and really wanting to make the very best choices.  Not that she didn't care before, but this house definitely deserves the best and she is seeing to it that only the best is bought!  The view is incredible.

It was so good to see Mom again.  She was in great form.  Stan was there too and we sat around a little seating area they have there and visited and gave her presents and had some good laughs.  We then went down to the piano area and all took a turn.  The piano has always been such a centre of our visits.

Back home on Monday morning, firstly dropping Dorothy off at her new place and helped her move a bit more into her place.  She has moved into an apartment in one of those old school retro apartment buildings in Vancouver.  Fantastic place!  I will include some pics at the end here.

Since then I have been cleaning and cleaning and cleaning.  I just got tired of the garbage cans and containers of cardboard all over the place.  I still have a number of cupboards to go but it sure feels better in here.

The leg broke off  my old schooly piano bench.  That is what I used to put my laptop on.  So it is sitting safely in purple room waiting to be fixed.  This morning, needing a little table, I stepped out into the back yard to get a little iron pretty one from the back lawn/garden area.  I came back in, stopped in the kitchen to wipe it down and brought it over to my chair.  I turned around to go get a coffee and noticed a dirty trail of something from the back door.  I look down and my left boot was three inches deep dog crap.  I couldn't believe it!  I only took about five steps out the back door.  Jeeeez!!!  After these two I am done with dogs.  I never was too fond of dogs to begin with.  Don't get me wrong, I dearly love the ones we have had but .....  I am so through with the crap and dog hair.

And...Monte broke the top of the handle on my swiffer, just before he left at Christmas.  In fact I was on the phone with him when he broke it.  So the curved part at the top of the handle is hanging by the electric wires that fires up the spray part.  Washing the floor now involves three hands.  One to push, one to hold it together and one to spray.  Doesn't work.  I tried duct tape but that didn't work.  I'm buying a new one (that one had been used twice).

WE WERE BENG DISRESPECTFUL TO OUR MOTHER!

SHE PLAYED A NUMBER OF HER PIECES, ONCE THE FIRST FEW NOTES KICKED IN SHE WOULD REMEMBER THE REST

THIS IS DOROTHY'S FRONT DOOR AND MAIN SHARED AREA OF HER APARTMENT BUILDING

Juicing again but haven't weighed yet.  Too scared.  Maybe tomorrow!  Right now denial works just fine.  TTYL
