To start at the beginning though.....I HAVE A TABLE!!!!!!! The Wayfair boys arrived yesterday and built me a table, the right table! And it is one awesome table. It started at 1200 plus bucks and ended up being 850. And its a dandy! I will take a pic of it and put it below. Now I just have to build the benches. I don't think that will be too hard...just have to attach the legs.
This week has been a week of tying up loose ends. Actually I will only be gone for two weeks, not even as long as the last little trip, but because its on the briny seas and far away it seems longer.
I, for some odd reason that I don't remember now, kept that awful horrible cantankerous giant suitcase I bought to go to London and Paris. I think I had the idea I would store summer clothes in it.
Well I had Monte go dig around in the shed out back, find it and bring it in. It was dead empty. Now, because I only have to drag it from Gladys in the parkade to the cruise terminal, not very far, and back again at the end of the cruise, I will use it. That stupid thing just falls over all the time. Really badly made. But its bigger than the one I usually use and weight doesn't matter cuz we aren't flying and the cruise people don't limit it.
Fuckadoodle!!!! I just went to check on that weight thing and they have implemented a fifty pound weight limit. Dammit dammit dammit!!!! We can take more than one suitcase for free but they can't be over fifty. Well there go the shoes. I don't own another suitcase. I do own bags though. Hmmmm.....maybe I will make one just for shoes, jewelry and hair product.
I bought some red boots. Yup! And the have a heel! Last time I tried walking in a heel, my ankle snapped and I fell over. That was back in North Van in the back yard. So I fell in love with these boots when I saw them on amazon and took a chance. And guess what? They fit, they are comfy and I wore them all day yesterday with no mishaps or pain! I did feel like I was going to fall over backwards occasionally but I was aware that I might fall and was prepared and saved myself. I LOVE them! I shall put a pic down below (or maybe up top or in the middle...stupid blogspot...shovel list).
I am pretty much ready to go. I really like the clothes I am taking and my shoe wear (now that I have solved that problem) and now I just need to calm my curly hair down. I can't wear my visor on formal night in my new awesome dress. I think this time I am going to get the ship photographer to do a pic up of Monte and I. I haven't done that before and Monte is all gungho! We found some fab clothes for him at Walmart. Thank god for Walmart!!! White button down shirts, black ones, nice pants. And a tie that kinda looks like a tie made for a midget or little person on him...sorry I am not sure which is pc. Okay I am sure you just don't give a hoot about any of this.
I shall sign off. I will be blogging from the ship for sure...probably more than you will want. With ten days at sea there is only so much you can do. Well we can eat, go to movies, go to entertainment plays etc..., swim, go to the hairdresser, drink specialty coffee, gamble our set amount of twenty bucks each away, walk the plank..oops...I mean the promenade.....etc.... TTYL
NOW I HAVE TO BUILD THE MATCHING BENCHES |
THESE BOOTS WERE MADE FOR WALKING AND..... |
Love your boots! Coming over for a visit so I can sit at that awesome table :)
