One swears he has it and the other swears he doesn't. And it's hard to tell. Graeme, the one who figures he has it, is the one that got the most awful headache. Plus he is sneezing and coughing a little and having a hard time getting his breath. And he gets really bad allergies so it's hard to tell. Monte on the other hand has had a headache and feels dizzy and sick. So I don't know. We are going to presume they have it. No fevers though. I don't know....
I can't remember if I mentioned this or not, but after buying a fifty pound bag of flour at Costco and getting it home, Graeme noticed that it was sugar, not flour. Damn!!! And I had nowhere to put it except behind the couch where Wrangler sleeps. It has to go back as soon as this virus stops its stranglehold on us. Or maybe, as Graeme suggested, go to the food bank.
This morning Peter and I were sitting here in the living room kabissbing away when we heard a noise. Then we heard it again. It definitely was ripping paper! Coming from behind the couch!!!! Peter leapt up and roared over there and there was Wrangler delicately ripping the paper on the side of that fifty pound bag of sugar!!! WTH???? He was unwrapping it like his Xmas present!!!! So Pete grabbed it and it did leak all over the floor, but just a little. What if we weren't here? OMG!!! The mess!!!! And why now? That thing has been there for a couple of weeks now! So that sucker is ours now. If you need sugar, just let me know. We use about four cups a year, never mind fifty pounds!!!!!
I figure though that now that there are a couple of extra mouths around I should use some of that sugar in baking. So this afternoon I am going to make something that neither Graeme or Peter have ever had. Gingerbread Cake! Can you believe they have never had gingerbread cake? And I have a bag of lemons so I am going to make a lemon sauce, kind of traditional, to go with it. I will take pics and post them here.
So there is absolutely nothing else to report. Take care of yourselves and I will report back about the cake. Who knows they might hate it! TTYL
First off, I definitely hope neither of the boys have "it" . Yikes. We are closeted in here like convicts. Made our first grocery store delivery order. I wonder if the shopper will come to the door in a hazmat suit....
