BACK AND WALLOWING

Well this time I am soooooo happy to be home!!!  This trip pretty much kicked our butt.  People think that cruising is an easy form of travel, and it can be, but if you really want to get involved and really see the countries you are visiting....then you physically have to move that butt.  There were a couple of stops that I maybe would have skipped and stayed on the boat, but no way would Bill hear of that...and he was absolutely right.  Our week in London was pretty active too.  Some of those tube stations are  like 300 feet underground and there are no elevators or escalators.  It was good for us!  But I am really really enjoying my bed, my stinky kitchen, my doggie hair covered living room, my peaceful purple room........   BUT......

We are off again shortly.  On the tenth I am heading up to Monte's for a couple of days.  He has things a happenin' up there, people he wants me to meet.  And I think its time we sit down and go over his life plan!  Then on the 14th we are heading up to Kamloops to see Kathy and Mom etc...and I am dying to see Emily and hear all about her travels.  We leave there on the 16th and head north!!  I am so excited.  We are going to drive to Smithers, where I grew up, to go back to the Government Experimental Farm my family lived on.  I just can't wait and my camera is atwitching!!!  From there we are going to head across northern BC stopping to see a favourite nephew and his wife in Fort St John and then on to northern Alberta and down to see Jen, Anthony and kids.   Yay!!!  We will be travelling through some seriously incredibly beautiful country.  I think we are going to take the dogs, but we will discuss this with the kids first.  It might be too hot for them in the truck.

So, its pack it up time again soon!  I have to start thinking about coolers, bedding (just in case we get stuck in the truck) extra tires, gas cans etc...There are really long isolated stretches where we are going and we want to be able to safely go exploring off the main track as well.  I don't want to end up on the news like some other older couples have...you know...where they have gone missing, and then the burnt out truck/camper is found but no bodies...and the bodies are never found.  Eeeek!!!  I will make sure to keep a bag of trail mix in the cab!

We will get back near the end of August and then its off to Maui.  It's beginning to look like we don't like it in Vancouver!  Right now though I have to get ready for an appointment with a stupid lawyer, a lawyer that when my dealings are done with him, I will be preparing to either report him or rip a strip.  I am foreclosing on a property and if you are a long term reader of my blog I posted a picture of the jerk's place when we had a sheriff open the place up, remember?  It was a looooooooooooooooooong time ago and the lawyer is only now getting ready to go to court with it.  I am so pissed off!!!  So today I have to reign it in and not say anything and just sign the Affidavit and walk away.  Grrrrrr......

And speaking of getting ready, if you could only see me right now!  I am so far away from being public friendly....I washed my hair last night (I say so easily) so its flat and looks like an old horse's mane, dirty old pj shorts that are waaaay too big, hanging around my knees and glaringly flashy pink, lime green old tank top that is hanging off my shoulders, no teeth (and I mean no teeth)in, and a giant pimple on my left chin.   I have on big old tall fuzzy ratty slippers.  I looked like this last night when my brother dropped by for a quick night in the guest room on his way to the Sunshine Coast and  though he has seen me at my worst over the years, even he took a quick gasp and step back.  So.....the appointment is at 11 and we need to leave here by ten and now its nine and its going to take at least that long so bye.  TTYL
