PART TWO (2)

We had such a good time with the kids.  You do things you wouldn't do if you didn't have some kids with you.

We went out to "Caca Beach" as Bill and the kids call it, actually its Iona Beach by the airport.  We have been taking Fenton there for years but this is the first time we have taken Elise.  So much fun!  Then we we into the airport and had a snack and watched planes take off and land.  We sat under the landing ones for a while.  I think Gpa and I were more excited about that than the kids.

On the way home we stopped for icecream.  This time we went into McD's though.  No icecream in Gma's new car!!  Kevin and Tandy were at a concert and staying in a lovely hotel downtown for the night.  And guess what Tandy found first thing in the morning?  A BEDBUG!!!  running across the sheets.  It was pretty early but she booted Kevin up and got the heck out of there!  They are going to fully refund the money.....so they should!

The next day (yesterday) I hitched a ride with them to Qualicum Beach and met Monte there.  I had forgotten that you can't just drive onto the ferries in the summer and the reservations were full.  Monte picked me up and we went back to Port Alberni and had a fantastic dinner as Pesky's then went for a drive down Beaver Creek area.  Absolutely beautiful!

We came back here to his home and I made a bed on the couch and totally fell asleep, and I mean sound asleep, right smack in the middle of him telling me all about how a particular drug (can't remember the name) affects the brain and what happens etc....  I can't believe how tuckered out I was!  Too much hucklebuckle play with Fenton....he hides the loonie on the floor under things.  I tried to explain to him about old fat people with bad knees but I don't think he got it!!!!  Three hours of that and I was done fer.

EVEN THOUGH IT WAS SUPER HOT, ELISE WOULD NOT TAKE OFF HER NEW JACKET!

SHE WAS RUNNING AROUND WITH A MOUTHFUL OF PEA PODS.  JUST BEFORE I SNAPPED THE PIC I ASKED HER TO OPEN HER MOUTH AND SHOW US....SHE OBLIGED!

WE FOUND A BLACKBERRY PATCH!!

HE COULDN'T BACK UP THIS HILL, THE ROAD WAS TOO ROUGH TO GO FORWARD.  HE WAS SCARING THE CRAP OUT OF ME SO I GOT OUT AND SAID I WOULD WAIT TIL HE GOT IT TURNED AROUND.  BUT THEN I SAW............

AND GOT BACK IN, REAL QUICK

Well its now ten in the morning, I only have one day here so I am about to go boot a certain person out of his bed and get the day rolling.  Lots to do today.  TTYL
