GROOMING (A VENT)

I think there must be something wrong with me.  Over the last few weeks I have watched Bill and for a while, the three girls, do their daily ablutions.  And this is what I observed.

Bill:  Every single day he spends such an extraordinary amount of time grooming.  Every morning, after his really loooooooooong shower, in which he uses phisoderm soap and medicated shampoo, and antibacterial talcum powder, he grabs a certain ointment and dabs what he thinks is precancerous spots on his head (and this is funny because he can't see his back and if he did he would freak).    He then heads out to the lanai and clips toenails and scrapes his heels and applies anti fungal crap to his toenails.
Then he gets lotion and rubs it on his dry spots.  He is wearing hearing aids now which means he has to keep wax out of his ears.  I caught him putting olive oil in his ears!!!  Olive oil!!  I told him that someone had left a wee bottle of swim ear lotion in the cupboard.  I went and got it and his whole face just lit up!!  A new potion!!!!  After he cuts himself in the grooming process he runs and gets the polysporin.  He uses that stuff like the old greek guy in Big Fat Greek Wedding used windex.

When the girls were here I noticed that we couldn't just walk out the door at any given moment.  They needed time to shower, nail polish, make up, try on outfits, pick shoes, do hair, change several times, pack a day bag......all normal for sure and fun.

Then there is me.  I fall out of bed, put in my teeth, yank my poof, good to go.  I shower at night and only brush my teeth at bed time, and I resent the time that takes.  I wash my hair on Sunday and I resent that too.  I just can't stand the time it takes to get ready for the day.  If I had to put on make up, jewelry, matching clean outfit, shoes that need fussing, I would go crazy.  There are people out there that wash their hair EVERY day, put on make up every morning and again later in the day, do their nails frequently, put on different clothes every day, use straighteners and curling irons and hair dryers.....every single day.  If you add up all that time its mind boggling.  But here's the catch.  They look good.  They smell good.  I don't.

I am going to post some pics I found in my photo booth app.  I am not sure how some of them got there!  TTYL   (I am leaving them small cuz they are so awful.)
