Well, we have had a very busy couple of days. We have been up a mountain, to the market and into the city!!
The trip up Haleakala was truly awesome. It was amazingly clear out. The trades have come back and blown all that vog away. And, it was quite warm up there. It only went down to 60 F. Usually it is down to 50F. And, I didn't get super lightheaded and dizzy. Bill says its because the wind, and believe me it was crazy windy, blew oxygen up to the top of the mountain. Hmmmmm......not sure about that!
Today we went into the market. What fun! Instead of trying to get around to all of it, we just do one aisle. There is always next week! or the one after.....We tend to go when we need fresh flowers. Also I need a new source of celery for my juicing. The costco bag of celery goes mushy in two days. I thought our fridge was freezing it but it isn't...the celery is just going rotten.
I take terrible people pictures. TERRIBLE!! Today, in Lahaina, I decided to try again. And again I have failed. I wanted to get a 20 or so vignette of the typical person on Front street at any given time. In that I did succeed, but they are awful pictures. I decided to think about it and I think it is because I hate to intrude on their privacy. So I hide somewhere....and they are moving...and that adds up to bad pics. I will post them here so you can see. If anyone has tips and ideas feel free to let me know.
All my fb friends will know this but some of you reading this are not on fb. I swore we wouldn't go on another cruise but......what can I say. Bill and I were going over the next few months plans and other than Xmas at home this year, we weren't coming back here til next March. When we got counting, that is four whole months at home...not sure if we can handle that!! So I looked at cheap cruises in Feb. Up popped a cruise that goes from Singapore to Hong Kong, mostly seeing Vietnam along the way...a place that Bill really wants to see. Plus, we have always planned to spend some time in Hong Kong. So, here we are, signed up for a cruise in Feb. Not only a cruise, but this time we got the full blown 500 sq. ft suite!! So exciting! We leave Singapore on Feb. 4 and get to Hong Kong on the morning of the 18th. We fly home on the 23rd. The only draw back is the loooooooooong flights. Ayayayay....I am going to have to find some amazingly exciting games to put on my ipad.
So thats it for today......here are the awful pics. TTYL
