I just reread where I left off and seriously, no one got up until afternoon. Honestly, I do not know how they are able to sleep so much. It seems no matter what I do I can't get much past five thirty. Then I am so flipping tired by suppertime I can't function!
But, as soon as they did get up we took off to the edge of the earth. We went all the way out to that camp area near the beach where we spent Christmas day a couple of Christmases ago. It was fun to show it to a newbie. It really is my all time fave place on the planet. And it didn't disappoint.
We ate sandwiches, looked at a very annoyed couple (that we had showed up…she was naked from the waist up..haha too bad) I drove back and I gotta tell you its one fantastic road to drive. Pretty straight with lots of hoohaws (Bamfielders of old will know what those are) and dips and swoops. We stopped at Zippys and had a light dinner.
The next day was Spod's and my 25th anniversary. I just wanted to swim and float around in the pool all day. Oh my God!! the water is warmer than bath water. We play twenty questions (more like a hundred…we make it as hard as possible) Its fun. Depth tile on the pool wall, internet box on the street, guitar stand, sneeze….just a few of our choices. We have been over there so often that we are making friends (shovel list).
Later I washed my hair (shovel list) got duded up and went over to Ruby Tuesday's for an anniversary dinner. It was yummy! And of course as soon as we got home Monte and I hit the pool again. The moon was up and there were interesting people and the water was amazing!
Today we were going to go to the beach but the vog has kind of taken over. The trade winds have disappeared so the vog moves in and until those trades come back the sun is behind a haze, the humidity is so high you can't breath and it is hot hot hot! So instead of going to the beach we went to Whalers Village just past Lahaina.
There is a lovely beach right there so Monte went swimming. I think we are going to go spend a day there soon and swim. Even I can go in that water it is so calm…and warm. We shopped a bit and then hit Front Street in Lahaina. We didn't stay very long or go too far..it was simply too hot. We ended up skedaddling back to our pool here at the condo.
About a half hour into the swim, Don and his crew jumped in too. They had been working in the gulch beside our property, removing debris from the rains. This included dead deer and cattle amongst other things! He said that whenever they do this they all swim after. We talked for a long time as we floated and I learned a lot about the local history and meanings of words. Very interesting.
He is trying to get rid of the woman next door to us. She is a downright out and out bitch. Everyone hates her…she is a shit disturber. But actually I think her cheese has done slid off her cracker…just a little. She isn't normal thats for sure. So Don was filling me in on all the gossipy antics that have been going on. And Kathy…it was her that phoned Stacey that night when he came by and told you guys to pipe down. Eight O'clock!!! You can laugh all you want out there… Don said if it had been him here he would have told her to get stuffed. He really liked you guys.
Bed time now. Soooo sleepy TTYL
We were so proud of being shut down at 8 pm just for our laughter! ! :)
