CRAZY WEEK!!!

I just had a very abnormal week.  A lovely one but abnormal.

This past week Kathy has been babysitting her two grandchildren.  Their mom and dad went to Maui and Kathy moved down to their house to mind the chillins.

They invited me to participate in a nightly dinner and a few episodes of season one and two of The Marvellous Mrs. Maisel.  Its an Amazon Prime tv show.  Most of us do not have Amazon Prime...but Jo and Craig do!  So every night after dinner and kidlets popped  into bed, we would watch two or three episodes of the 'marvellous' show.  I highly recommend it!!

On Wednesday night though I had a meeting, a four person committee meeting.  The committee is the Adopt a Grad committee.  It seems that now there is a committee its fifty times more work.  I am learning that the more people we involve in something, the more opinions floating around, the slower decisions get made.  Drives me nuts.  I am a 'think for five minutes', find the answer and get on it right away.  And that is for sure what doesn't happen when tons of people are involved.

The meeting consisted of four of us, in my place.  I made a whole bunch of butter tarts and a pot of disappointing David's tea and set to.  And thats when I found out that nothing could be finalized .... again.  And this is the second meeting.  I put a ton of work into getting the letters and poster wording etc...written up ...just for it all to be tossed out and changed...but only suggested changes.  They want to run it all by the whole Kiwanis group.  I discussed this with my sister and she agreed...we don't have to run it by them, thats why we have a committee, we can just go ahead and gitter done.  But....we will see.  I don't think I am cut out for this.  I am too impulsive and impatient.  I am willing to pay consequences!  LOL!!

Kathy and I took turns making dinners.  Last night I took down a pot of beef barley soup and fruit salad and yogurt for the dessert.  Well, 2 yr old Stirling ate and ate and ate.  He is a huge eater!  Suddenly he got the most distressed look on his face and grabbed his stomach and whimpered and said 'Owwwie owwwie'.  He had simply eaten way over his limit, bless him!  Suddenly a whole lot of what he had just eaten arrived on the scene!  I think he instantly felt better!

It was a lovely week!  I love those kids, they are endlessly entertaining!  And boy did Kathy do some running!  I counted five times she got up from the dinner table one night, getting them the things they needed!  I so admire her energy.

Well, speaking of energy, I have a busy day today. Its a cleaning day...clothes, bedding, hair, shower, garbage...one of those days.  TTYL

Apple charge cords:  (shovel list..not grateful list)  Apple is NOT consistent.  Every device requires a different charge cord.  Its so annoying.  And the laptop ones aren't snapped into the laptop but they are magnetically held there.  Consequently every time you move the laptop it falls out.  So annoying.  Sounds minor and pettish and it is, but I am still putting it on my shovel list.
