Last night Spod and I went into town to the airport and picked up Cookie! Its so awesome to have her here! Now it feels complete!
We didn't get to bed until about one in the morning and I didn't wake up this morning til April came in and got me at nine. Poor Cookie was up at six with nowhere to go!
We sat around all morning in our pj's, drinking 'Bamfield Specials'. We always drank rum and diet lemon pop in Bamfield in the summer. Here we drink rum, coconut vodka and pog…(passion fruit, orange juice and guava) mmmm….and I must say by the time we left in the early afternoon we were just a little tipsy ourselves! We didn't even get dressed until after twelve. Myles and April made a huge amazing breakfast, sooo good.
We piled into the car and headed up to a drive way up above Makawao. Way up there are eucalyptus trees which shed their bark and leave behind very vivid bright colour trunks. We then walked all over Makawao and in and out of the little stores. When we finished up there we headed to Ho'okipa point and watched the surfers for a while. Next we hit Paia and did some walking and shopping there as well. Then it was home to make dinner, visit with people going by and watching April get totally blasted (shovel list). She was pretty funny but I hate watching my kids get drunk…I hate it. Plus when she gets drinking she never shuts up. Talk talk talk…and she is really funny. Poor Myles, he was trying to round her up!
Tomorrow we are going to get an early start and do the banana bread trail. We will be stopping at the big snorkelling bay and a hike through 'Jurassic Park'. Also, before we get to the banana bread hut we will stop to see the blow hole. Hopefully it will be blowing high! So off to bed now and TTYL
