I cannot get hold of anyone at Bestbuy. I am right ticked off. I just spent six thousand plus bucks in that store and they can't be bothered to talk to me. I am done with the phoning. I am going to go there and I will make a supreme effort to be nice, at least at first.
The dishwasher is getting installed this afternoon. I am pretty ticked off with myself right now. I have learned over the years to think about resale value when decisions are being made about your home. What I really want is black appliances. They are so much easier to keep clean and I like the look of them. But I went with what I hear on HGTV...that show House Hunters. The minute the people see the appliances are not stainless steel they whine. So I gave into current trend and bought appliances that are always going to look dirty and be totally high maintenance.
I dug around in a few more boxes and found a few more things. I really am running low on stuff. Whats left down there is stuff that has to be kept. I really thought I would have been able to find a hundred things but it seems not. Today was to be the end of the 100 day project. So from this point on I am going to randomly put stuff on here as I come across it. Sadly it doesn't seem to have made much of a difference down there...its still a hellhole! TTYL

I feel your sale's people pain! I think it told you, my car has recently sprung a leak, and the only place I could find to investigate and fix a leak is the Honda Dealership. I called and left repeated messages to book an appointment and nobody there called me back. I finally got a hold of a live person and booked an appointment (which their first available one, wasn't for a week). Over the phone they told me it was going to be $130 just to diagnose and then whatever to fix it. Okay...
ReplyDeleteI get to the dealership and now they tell me that the receptionist was mistaken, its $130/hour to diagnose and it can take 4-5 hours to find it, cause they have to take all the wheels and panels off. I tell them.. its in the back corner of the trunk. I narrowed it down and I think it was behind the taillight. And that I knew it was in the trunk, because when I keep that part of the car covered with a tarp, it does not leak. He still insisted it could take so long. Whatever, I needed it done. I can't keep letting my upholstery get soaked from trunk-backwash.
About a hour later I get a call. They tell me the power antenna is loose and that is where the water is coming in and will need replacing. Sounds cheap? No... estimate $295 for labour and $695 for the part!!!!!!!!!!! $1000 to fix an antenna? So i tell them, I do not need a radio, just seal the bloody thing up. Are you kidding me? I can get a radio at the dollar store for $1.50 if I miss it that much... insane!
So they take out the antenna, plug it up and seal it, only $324... not great, but acceptable, especially after the scare job, AND the radio still works!
As I am leaving I read their write up about the job. Apparently their hose was frozen and they were unable to do a proper water test. THEY DID NOT TELL ME THIS. That they noticed water in the back corner of the trunk and assumed because the antenna was loose it was coming from there. That they took it out, sealed it up and poured water over it and it didn't leak. Also that the seal was only temporary, as a stronger seal would make replacing the part down the road difficult, and also might damage the paint. ALSO DIDNT TELL ME OR GIVE ME THE OPTION.
However... Last night, we had our first rain since the fix, and my trunk still filled with water!!!!!!! Their guess, was not right, and now they have made a new problem with my car, in that I now have a hole where the antenna was, only temporarily plugged and will have to deal with that issue again down the road, when the plug job, it didn't need, eventually fails.
So I called them this morning... voice mail... left a message... no call back! I had to call them, and eventually found a person. There response was "Okay well we would like to take another look at it." YOU THINK? Then said, "bring it back as soon as you can" I said I could bring it now, and they said, "You need an appointment" SO BOOK ME AN APPOINTMENT!
So now next Wednesday is the earliest they can get it in, and I am back to tarping my car, and cursing all the way home in traffic as whatever is leaking is exposed to the Vancouver Fall Rain.
