TOURISTA AND RAMEN

Well I have heard from April.  And it isn't good, at least for her.  The first night they were served a raw fish amongst other things and she has gone down like a dead man.  She finally called me and wondered what to do.  In fact she was having an anxiety attack over how sick she was.  And she couldn't go anywhere.  Poor Myles of course is curtailed by her sickness.  What a way to start your holiday!  So today she finally went to see the doctor...her health insurance covered it all.  He said she had some kind of evil bacteria and gave her a painful shot in the butt and wrote a prescription for three different drugs.  Hopefully they work.  Tomorrow they have an all day excursion.  She thinks all buses have bathrooms.  They don't.  She will find out.  Poor girl.

Last night we were invited to Craig and Jo's for ramen.  Craig has been all about the home made ramen lately.  And boy I tell ya...that was some awesome ramen!  Noodles, pork, egg, green onions, mushrooms and the best broth ever.  Mmmm.  Kathy and Kerry were there too and we had such a hoot with Ainsley!  She is the cutest most entertaining baby ever!  She is almost 18 months.  So not only did we have great food....we had a great time.

Today I met Kathy at the Kiwanis meeting.  Good lunch and good meeting.  Go tuna sandwiches!  I was going to go up to Canadian tire to return that broken tree stand, but I didn't feel so great so I went straight home.  And fell so dead sound asleep in my chair that when the phone rang I opened my eyes, looked at the tv, which had people sitting around talking on the screen, and I thought they were in my room with me and I couldn't figure out where I was!  I was so profoundly confused!  Kind of scary!

Tonight Kathy and Kerry treated me to a theatrical performance of Mary Poppins.  It was truly amazing and so well done!!!  And it was a full house!  The Sagebrush theatre was full to the last seat.  It was one of the best plays I have ever seen.  The singing and dancing was spectacular and the story fully as magical as the books were when I read them when I was twelve!  What a treat!!

And now I am so tired I can hardly stay awake!   So this is going to be short and sweet and hard to beat as my Gramma Graham liked to say!  I shall post more and take more tree pictures tomorrow.  TTYL

  1. Sorry I cant come wrap your gifts. And I do love wrapping. But I work xmas eve and I dont know if my car is gonna be fix... here is the point form of todays saga...

So... I took it back in today at 7:30. I tell him I think its the sun roof and why... he just made a face...reassuring haha

At 10:20 they finally call me "the antenna isnt leaking, we are gonna have to do further investigation"

No shit... it took u 3 hrs to get that far? They say they will cover the first $324 then charge me after that. They did not agree they owed me anything extra for taking out the antenna and claim that the seal job they did is permanent. Even though it clearly says on My report its not.

So... we agree to disagree and further discuss this later, either way I need the leak fix. 1:00 hadnt heard from them.

I call... they say its done, I said done as in fixed? Because nobody called to tell me whats wrong. He didnt know so I had to wait for somebody else to call me.
Guy calls back. We cant find the leak and we cant get the water expert in today!
Wtf? Why did you make me bring my car back in if you didnt book the water guy?

"Oh we just thought it was the antenna"

Obviously it isnt!! So when can you get the water guy?

"We are trying to get a hold of him, we will let you know. Come get your car, also we didnt put the trunk back together to save time later. Oh and ALSO we are now even and going forward you will be charged."

What? But you didnt do anything... argue argue "we spent a lot of time looking blah blah"... but I thought that was the water experts job?

I ask if I can see the manager when I get there. "Yes you can". When I get there... nobody can find him. Eventually figure out he has gone for lunch, who knows when he will be back. 2&$^@&&!!!#
So I get his number to call later.

Oh that is not all... it was dry and since the trunk was pulled apart me and corrie (from work) did some investigation of our own when we got back.

It took TWO coffee mugs of water on the sun roof to get It to leak. Son of a bitch. What were they doing over there?
