Seriously, we had a doctor come in today, the same one we saw yesterday and she told us that they are 90% sure that it is primary colon cancer. What the hell? We were told by the GI doctor it wasn't the primary, that it had metastasized from elsewhere and they couldn't do a biopsy to find out what kind. Now this doctor is saying it IS colon cancer. You know, that's it. I am not going to listen to anyone anymore, believe anything, until the biopsy is done next week and we frigging KNOW for a fact what we are dealing with. I do know they have certainly scared the shit out of us. Also after the biopsy colonoscope, while we wait for the results he can come home. So thats really good news. Maybe they will be able to do something after all to help. We just don't know…and obviously neither do they.
I did take him out for an awesome walk in the sunshine and a bench sit in the labyrinth for about an hour. It was so peaceful and beautiful and the air smelt so fresh and alive. He read the paper for the whole time and I moved into the shade. It was good to see him out of that hospital room.
Upon checking my email this morning, Oceana, our tv/phone/internet provider in Maui, one of the bills we pay by automatic withdrawal, was cutting off service on the ninth. What??? Turns out Spod paid a couple of big insurance and property tax bills from that account and didn't reload it. He is always the one that takes care of that so I had no clue what to do. I don't even have account numbers of all the utilities here. So I grabbed his laptop, hopped into the car and tore off to the hospital. He showed me where he kept all that necessary info and told me what I would have to do. So after a brief visit I winged off to the bank and solved the problem. Now I have to figure out how to get everything back on track.
To top things off Shaw did its usual yesterday and then today. No internet. And after talking to a tech last nite (I say so easily) there was something wrong with the strength coming in from the street. Sigh. (shovel list) So they got it going temporarily, slowly and sent a guy out today. He came this afternoon while Aryn was here. Three hours later he was able to set things up in a much better way but a somebody or other has to come out tomorrow and do something at the pole to fix it once and for all. I don't have time for this crap but we have to have internet. Which we do now obviously.
April and Myles arrived late tonite and Monte arrived earlier. So its so comforting to have my kidlets here. Tomorrow morning Aryn and I have a coffee date here with our real estate rep that we use but are friends with now. Dane Kingsbury. Awesome guy. I am excited to see him again..so is Aryn as she knows him really well. Brad is also coming down with his family. They are coming here tomorrow morning then off to see Dad. Emily is coming over tomorrow afternoon! I love it. The only trouble is the house is NOT clean.
Now I am so tired I could choke. Off to bed. TTYL
I was planning to comment on yesterday's blog, but was struggling as to what to say. I wish I was as eloquent with words as you are. Then we saw this morning's entry, and we have a glimmer of renewed hope, which we will hold fast and tightly too. You are all in our thoughts every second of every day.
