I had made an appointment to get my top changed on my jeep. The guy at the Jeep place told me I would have to have a bigger vehicle to bring the hard top pieces home. So I told him about Monte's van and he said that would be good. No. It would not have been. What the hell was he on about? If Brian and Kerry had not offered to come and do it instead of the dealership, I would have been up the creek...and very very pissed off!
And let me tell you, changing that roof over was about the most complicated difficult thing I have been involved in!!! If we, not I, there is no I in this activity, do take the soft top off, it stays off. If it rains, Tank will be parked in the garage and I will be hoofing it. Walking five miles to the store and back, uphill both ways, would be easier!
The wasps seem to be gone. I wasn't here when the guy came but Monte was. The guy just went around and put poison into the facia boards. Hopefully that will be it. 183 bucks.
I have owned pianos pretty much my whole life. They have always been heavy upright grands. And I have moved a hundred times. It usually takes two men and a dolly and straps. But there are times when the movers are kind of weenies and don't know what they are doing. They just complicate things. Jeez!!!
The dimwits that came the other day were about the worst I have seen. They eventually did get it moved but not without a lot of ripping of hair, angsting, overthinking and complicating the whole matter. They got Monte to help with the pushing it upstairs part. The rest should have been easy but no...they whined and whimpered and bashed their fingers and nearly dropped it over the sill. Jeez I remember one year a thousand years ago, Anne and I moved my piano from my condo to a truck, truck to her basement, basement to budget truck, BY OURSELVES!!!
Its so nice to have it up here. I thought it would make the living room crowded but it doesn't. In fact it kind of finishes the room off, making it cozier.
Well one more day!!! I have to finish the cleaning, the packing and finding of lost things. Such a pain that one. I am always losing stuff and having to rethink it all to find it...whatever it is. Oh, and I just remembered...I need to go to the bank and get money. Dang it! TTYL
