Wow!!! I don't think I could ever move back down here. The first thing I noticed was the noise! Its so noisy down here...horns, sirens, trucks, traffic....And the drivers are aggressive!! People are constantly changing lanes pulling in right in front of you...no room to spare. In fact if you don't hit the brakes you would hit them! I just lay on the horn and tailgate the a..holes. Makes me mad.
On Wed. I had Monte drop me off at April's work at five. We drove out to Port Moody in her car. She had a quick dental appointment out there. After we met Aryn at a pub out there. What a wonderful dinner we had! We caught up on all the news and ate good food (except for poor Aryn. Her dinner was awful). We spent several hours there...it was so good to be with my girls for a while! I am so proud of them.
Yesterday I drove Monte out to the ferry at Horseshoe Bay. He was walking on, getting picked up on the other side by some girl he knows and they were headed to Cobble Hill for a Wolf Parade concert. I haven't heard from him so I must presume all is well.
I picked April up from her work at three. She had an appointment on the shore here and I went with her. It was a two hour procedure which left her shaky and exhausted so we went straight home after. Myles was there and we ordered chinese food and hunkered down for a pleasant evening. Myles was explaining and talking about the process of becoming a longshoreman. Wow!!! A very long drawn out difficult process it is!! So interesting.
Now its five in the morning! I fell asleep last night by ten and slept soundly til four. I am going to figure out what is happening today. At some point I need to pick up Monte from the ferry and make plans to meet with Clare and Tish. I can't wait to see them again.
I think Monte and I are going to go home up through the canyon. I haven't been that way in forever...and Monte doesn't even remember it. We both brought our cameras so we plan to do some stopping and shooting along the way. I shall probably post some here! Lucky you guys!! TTYL
