WE DID IT!!!

Well we didn't go through the canyon after all.  Kathy phoned just as we got halfway to Hope and invited us to dinner.  So we changed route.  But it was a lovely trip home anyway.  There were lots of crazy drivers but I went slow and relaxed.  We were home by threeish I think.

We had a lovely bbq down at Kathy's.  Jeremy (my brother's son in law from Calgary) was there and he always livens things up!  Monte and I don't eat meat anymore (at least he doesn't, I do now and then) so we swung by Safeway and picked up veggie burgers and veggie sausages.  They were really good.  I bought some corn relish...mmmm Jeez I love corn relish.

And today is when we did it!!!!!  Monte and I hit Costco, Art Napps and Canadian tire and we have planted our garden.  Or at least the plants part.  The wind is blowing to be heck out there so I will wait and plant the seeds tomorrow.  Monte was an enormous help.  In fact I am not sure I could have done it all without help.  Plus, randomly, I found a lawn mower at the side of the house.  I don't remember bringing it from Langford with us.  But we plugged it in and it works.  So Monte is going to take over the mowing from the landscape guys and save me a bundle of money.  I put garden pics at the bottom.

I also phoned the pest control guy.  He is coming around tomorrow to give an estimate on getting rid of the freaking assy wasps.  We can't even use our deck due to those nasty little jerks.  They are EVERYWHERE!!!  So for about 200 bucks I am going to get the guys to poison the little bastards.  I don't care if they are God's little creatures...they need to die.

I also have arranged for the piano to be moved upstairs.  Yay!!!!!  I know I will play it a whole lot more if it is up here.  I figure if they got it down those stairs, someone can get it back up.

Now I am sitting here in my kitchen, super tired.  I feel like a whole lot was accomplished today.  I am happy.  Sorry this blog is so boring.  It may perk up next week when we go on the mystery tour.  I have a feeling we will be with a whole lot of OLD people so should be lots of fodder for the blog.  It will be just like old times on the cruises!  I will be merciless...just cuz its so much fun!!!
