MORE MYSTERY

Well we have been busy.  I am going to be honest though.  I think that these tours are for our future, not present.  There are just too many really old people.  Now don't get me wrong.  They are pretty amazing I must say.  It may take them half an hour longer than the younger ones, but they get there!  And they are game for anything.

But they are repeat tourers.  One couple have toured 78 times!!!  A lot of them are in the 90 year old range and sharp as tacks.  But its just too slow.

That being said, we are enjoying our time immensely.  We have done some interesting things and eaten interesting food.

We went to Shadiac and saw the world's biggest lobster statue.  We went to a made up fishing village called Le Pays Sanguine....which in english means The Washer Woman.  We saw old style houses and were told the history of the Acadians.  We were entertained by two awesome actors and we had a delicious  Acadian lunch.  They sure know how to make potato fish cakes here!!!

We stopped at a couple of beaches then a soap factory.  That was a hoot!!  The lady doing the demo was so funny and a little crazy!  Afterwards of course, we all had the opportunity to purchase the goods.  I didn't.

Somewhere in all this Monte called me.  Molly dug around and found a left over bag of foil covered chocolate easter eggs.  And ate them.  The only way Monte knew was by all the foil bits and pieces laying around and her big chocolate moustache.  He panicked!  So I gave him the go ahead to find a vet and take her in.  So he did....on Victoria Day week end no less and they put some powder stuff in her eyes which made her puke.  The doc said she could well have died if he hadn't taken her in.  Stupid dog.  Apparently she was NOT a happy camper....serves her right I say.  So three hundred flipping dollars later.....

Today was a wonderful day on the Saguanay River.  We boarded a boat that took us up the river to view the gorge.  Soaring cliffs etc...not quite as melly dram as the gorge on the Yangtze, but a lot of fun.  We had a box picnic lunch up the river, so beautiful, and saw white beluga whales, and a weird statue of Mother Mary out in the middle of absolutely nowhere!!!  Now we are back in our hotel in Tadoussac Quebec.  Up early in the morning and off again.  And we don't know where for sure but we are kind of figuring it is Quebec City.  I hope so!!!  TTYL(these pics are completely out of order...I blame Quebec)
