TWO BROADS AND A JEEP #4

Well we just got back from our dinner.  We went to a wee Italian eatery...a pretty classy one.  They even had live jazz...granted it was the owner's son and wife but they were darn good.

We had eggplant parmesan and penne.  Sooo delicious!   And everybody in the tiny place was happy and friendly and so much fun.  Neither of us could finish our dinner!

We made the decision this morning to spend another night here in Bandon...in this motel room. It is so cute and quaint and homey.  Plus there is lots to do around Bandon.  So we spent time in the room, watching tv, spending time on our techy stuff, showering etc.

We finally took off to old town and walked around looky looing.  I found a store with windbreakers in it, big enough for me.  Made all the difference.  I was freezing!  Its bloody cold here.

We had lunch in a Irish pub...a lot of fun.  Its amazing who sits in these pubs drinking.  They all look the same.  Usually a bunch of old men and an old blister or two.

From there we went back to  Coos Bay to a quilt store...which was closed!  Twenty five miles!  Poor Cookie!  She was disappointed!  She drove Tank back to Bandon.  I fell sound asleep and before you could say Bob's your uncle she was pulling into the motel.

After checking out a local lake and the marshes, we headed to dinner.  Not a very exciting day but a very satisfying one.

I was up six times in the night to the facilities.  I think I picked up a bug.  Poor Cookie, just what she wants to be travelling with...an old coot with the trots.  She is very understanding and patient though.

We are going to be sad to leave this lovely little spot.  Its been so pleasant.  And...we have decided we are going to cut over to the I-5 tomorrow.  Its either go down all the way to Crescent City California and cut over and up to Grants Pass or cut over now from Banden.  There is no in between.  And I think she and I are getting a tech tired of the wind and cold and fog.  So over we go to Roseburg and spend some time mozying up through Oregon, stopping at quilt stores and seeing sites as we go.  We really are having fun!  TTYL
