DAY THREE JUICING

I was laying out by the pool, nine oclockish..(don't burn then) when I noticed that Haleakala (the mountain) was totally clear.  This NEVER happens.  I hopped up, grabbed my stuff and bolted.  I grabbed Bill and my bag and the cooler full of ice, water and v8 juices (little tiny ones) and we booked it for the lavender farm.  And you know we made it with fifteen minutes to spare.  Then those stupid clouds moved in.  Oh well we had a marvellous time.  That has to be the most peaceful beautiful place.  Not too many people are ever there at once.  BUT...... (domestic dispute alert)

On our way up I noticed that the hang gliders were out in force.  On a previous trip to the farm I had noticed that all around the grassy slopes bordering the upper part of the farm were flags, showing wind direction, and the only thing that could possibly land there would be hang gliders.  When I noticed them way up there floating around, I told Bill to hurry, maybe we could watch them land.  He then informed me that they don't land at the farm, they land way down and over by Makawao.  I said maybe some do, but these are fluttering over the farm.  No they're not he replied.  So I launched into total logic, pointing out that Makawao was way over there, and the farm was here and there is no way they could get the height to get that far if it was over there they were supposed to go blah blah blah.  He then went into personal attack mode.  You are always right, you always think you know everything, why can't you just be quiet blah blah blah.  Jeez!!!  And then....when we got up there, guess what was landing right before our very eyes??!!  Do you think I could say I TOLD YOU SO?  No I could not.  I actually felt bad for him so I launched into a big discussion on where I thought the ones jumped from that landed over at Makawao etc.......We hopped out of the car and hauled out our cameras and that always gets us over everything.  I think we spend a lot, and I mean a LOT of time together.  I don't know many people that can spend two months together 24/7 and not have the occasional set to.  We don't even have company or family or anything breaking it up.  All and all we do pretty well.  But he's the one in the bedroom, watching the second tv tonite.  I told him that in Maui I get the living room tv (unlike at home) and I get to pick the radio station in the car (unlike at home).  So I'm happy!

THIS IS ONE OF OUR PURCHASES YESTERDAY...TO PUT ON THE TABLE OUTSIDE
TWO BEADED FISH WE BOUGHT TO HANG

Today went well juicing.  I made carrot/celery/peppers/apple cider and lemon juice today.  The weight loss is finally slowing down which is probably a good thing.  I am down but only half a pound.  We are planning our xmas dinner.  I am so excited but its a secret.  I will post pics and menu etc...on Boxing Day!!  TTYL
