We went to a craft/swap meet this morning. It was soooo hot out! I thought I was going to pass out. I think Eithne got too hot too. But we persevered and made purchases and taste tested stuff and talked a bunch with the locals. At noon we went to the Queen Ka'Humana mall and had an awesome lunch in the food court. We had fish tacos and taco salad bowls. Soooo good. It was the mall's 40th anniversary, so they had all kinds of hawaiian bands singing and hula dancing etc...pretty fun for the girls. Plus they seriously shopped!
We then went up to the Iao Needle park. It is so astoundingly beautiful there. We spent quite a while up there hiking and taking pictures. They found guava fruit, and ate it! Yuck! Full of ants and pretty sour but its all part of the experience that is Maui....crazy girls!
THESE ARE PICTURES THEY WOULDN'T LET ME PUT ON FB...SO HAH!! |
We then went to the Plantation place and had coffee and cookies and shopped some more. Its really a beautiful place to visit. They have so many vintage coffee grinders (huge ones) and old woodies (cars) they could actually be a museum. But by now we were tired and HUNGRY!! So we came home and heated up leftovers. Tonite we are heading out to find lit tiki torches and take more pictures. And Bill just this minute opened the fridge and dumped all the poke poke and its sauce all over the fridge and floor. Jeez! I shall report back later and maybe post a couple of pics with this. Right now I am going to go hit Bill!! (just kidding..maybe) TTYL
