TURTLES AND HIPPIES

I loved today.  I spent most of it here at home, cleaning the condo and washing my hair and playing wordfeud on my phone.  My favourite kind of day!

Late morning Bill drove the girls down to Kameoli beach.  He came home with plans to pick them up at two.  About noon they texted  "We are ready to come home.  The wind has picked up and the sand is blowing us and the waves are huge."  So off he went and got them.  We then spent a great few hours having heavy discussion about our lives and whats happening in them and how to handle it all.  Loved it.

Around three we headed off to turtle beach.  Oh my god I love that spot.  It truly is Bill and my favourite spot to sit and read and turtle watch.  The girls loved it.  They walked out on the rock shelf and watched for turtles.  Then they found bits of shell and coral to bring home.  It was windy and fresh and blue and amazing.  I just love it there.

We dropped the girls off in Paia for a couple of hours while Bill and I went shopping at Costco.  They had a blast and shopped and bought even more stuff!  They looked so pretty wandering down the street in their pretty outfits with the wind blowing their long hair.  Such a wonderful time for them.  Eithna was particularly happy because a friend of hers snagged her an awesome apartment at home...something that is very difficult in North Van.  And Jess just absorbs everything Maui.  She is SO happy here and completely involves herself in every little bit of this adventure.  April just makes us laugh, and laugh, and laugh.

OVER THERE!

THAT IS A TURTLE RIGHT THERE!!

We came home and bbqed salmon and April made the most delicious asparagus using lava salt and roasted sesame seeds.  Mmmmmm....sooooo good.  Now we are watching Honey BooB00 in total horror.  The perfect end to a perfect day.  TTYL  Tomorrow we ARE doing the lavender farm!
