STUPID VS. OLD

I love getting up early, and its easy here.  We are three hours behind home.  So when I get up at 5:30 am, its actually 8:30 at home.  It is still dark at that time and I go sit on the lanai and wait for the sun to come up over Haleakala.  The temperature outside is exactly the same as inside.  So I make a coffee, and get out there just in time to hear the birds wake up and watch everything come to light.  When the sun does come over the top, it gets hot, fast.

Bill doesn't get up until about 8:30.  He has coffee and reads the news for an hour. Then we go hop into that awesome pool and swim and meet the few locals that are there.  The water in the pool right now is just a smidge below warm.  Just cool enough to be refreshing.  Jeez I love it.

Bill can be so annoying.  On our way to town today a really good song came on the radio.  I was shocked.  This never happens here in Maui.  All they play is old classic rock and I gotta tell you , I am sick of pink floyd and  the zep etc...  So I reached over and turned it up.  It wasn't too loud, I know because I was explaining to him who Mumford and Sons were and he could hear.  He then inexplicably reached over and just simply turned it off.  I said, What the hell?  and he said it was too loud and I responded with I listen to one song in 300 and you can't handle it?  And he said Yes!!  So I said...You're OLD!!  and he said  You're stupid!!  and I said I would rather be stupid than old.  And then I didn't talk to him.  Finally I had to but I didn't turn on the radio again and I am not going to.   I can't believe I married someone who hates music.  Does this sound like a couple of kids??!!

Anyway, back home now and cleaning and getting ready for the kids to arrive tomorrow!!  Yay!!  I can't wait.  And Bill's grandson and girlfriend are coming for a bbq on Fri. night.  TTYL
