FINALLY....WE ARE ON THE WAY TO HANA!!!

I woke up this morning at five oclock and could not go back to sleep.  So annoying.  Finally got up at 6:30 and made a couple of large sandwiches and finished off the mac salad.  Now I am about to fill my new thermos with coffee and get ready to hit the trail.  If you don't hear from us by tomorrow night, send out the troops.  Two hippies were killed there the other day, mind you the scuttle butt around here is they were higher than kites when they sailed over the cliff.  Now, Bill may act like he is higher than a kite, but he's not.  I will try to get really interesting pics today and not too many of green green green...which the Hana road is!!!  Later.....

So, twelve hours on the road, and what a road!, and we are back home, safe and sound.  Brian drove the whole way, bless him, and he did a stellar job.  Its NOT an easy drive by any stretch.  Many many curves and hairpin corners, narrow roads, umpteen bridges (one laners) and cliff hanging hill climbs....thats the road to Hana.  It was so beautiful!  Way way too many things to list off here.  I have posted some pictures and I will include descriptions.  We think that we will have to come back next year and drive straight through to Hana and then explore the second half.

 AN ABANDONED 27 ACRE BOTANICAL GARDEN WE FOUND...VERY SPOOKY BUT AWESOME.  I HAD TO CARRY A BIG BRANCH TO KNOCK DOWN SPIDER WEBS...THEY WERE LIKE ELASTIC BANDS THEY WERE SO STRONG

Now everyone is in bed and I shall finish this and head off myself.  Such a day and I think we are doing even more tomorrow.  I do know I have to wash my hair tomorrow and thats going to take a ridonculously large amount of time:(  Time for bed.  TTYL
