HALFWAY :(

We are having such a good time.  Thank god Cookie and Brian are coming the day after the girls leave.  It would be hard.  I remember last April when April was here for a couple of weeks, Bill and I went into quite the funk after she left.  We never really fully recovered our Maui spirits we were missing her so much!

Yesterday morning we popped into Kahalui to go to the Apple store.  Aryn's nanno toasted so she needed a new one.  We then went to Queen Ka ahumanu Mall (and yes I can say it now!) and did a quick around stores looking for addidas for Arnie, sunglasses for Ape and a meatball maker for me.  I was the only one successful, thank you Macy's.  After a quick stop in Kihei for more this and thats (really good strong belly button rings for April and an evil  war mask warder offer for Aryn and stupidly expensive but divine hand lotion for me) we went back to the condo.  We swung into full motion, threw together the perfect barbeque makings and took off to the edge of the earth.

Its a good hour and half drive out to that same beach we went to on Xmas day.  On the way we stopped at the winery for some tastings and purchasing.  We stopped and Gramma's Coffee House and bought banana bread and oatmeal raisin cookies and then off.

That drive out along the backside of the volcano is truly my favourite place on earth.  It is so isolated, barrenly dry and expansively beautiful in a desolate wild way.  We stopped a couple of times for pics and then we made it to the beach.  We were truly alone and so so happy.  Aryn went for a run, which certainly wasn't without adventure and April and I sat in chairs and visited.  Bill read his book.  We all went for a long walk then barbied and ate and took pictures and laughed til we cried then drove home through the soft darkness, avoiding cows on the road.

We got home around eight and donned our suits and hit the hot tub.  There were two gentlemen there that simply could not take their eyes off my girls in their gorgeous bikinis!  One of them lives here in Maui full time so we pumped him for all the info we could get.

All in all and stupendous awesome day.  I was too pooped to blog last night so it is 6:30 am right now and no one is up, so a perfect time to gitter done.  I think I have put weight back on.  I noticed my favourite shorts fit way better!!!!  TTYL
