OH WHAT A PERFECT DAY

I am so full right now I feel like I am going to pop!!!  We are home here, just having eaten dinner and now doing emails and photos and blogging.  We made spaghetti, salad, bread and red velvet cake.  Mmmmmmm....we are also drinking Maui Splash...pineapple wine!

Cook and Bri were up way before us this morning.  To some extent I do believe they are still a little on home time.  We sat around a little and they went for a walk, a hot one.  It is really hot out today.  When we were ready we took off to Lahaina to do some shopping.  On the way we went up into the hilly fields to see if we could find some Nenes.  We didn't..but I found an awesome flowery fence to take pics of.

We went to Whaler's Village and did a little damage there.  Such fun looking at all the stuff.  Then we had lunch and Brian got the loveliest big plate of fish and chips, Cook got a chicken burger at McD's and Bill and I got miso soup from the Japanese restaurant.  We then went to the Cannery Mall and Cook got herself an awesome necklace and I got an awesome bracelet and the boys got an awesome coffee from Starbucks.  Then....Front Street!!

So we walked up and down and ate sugar free shave ices (pina colada flavour).  We went in and out of galleries and stores and bought the odd thing here and there.  So hot out though.  Finally we found the car and headed home.  But.....

We pulled into the lighthouse spot I blogged about earlier and watched many many whales leaping, breaching and cavorting about.  It just never gets old.  Also we spied a brand new windmill going up and on a truck just across the highway were the three blades ready to go up.  They are sooooo huge!

Then home and dinner and I do believe Brian has gone to bed!!  Its only 8:30 !!!  LOL!!!  Tomorrow banana bread trail.  Yay!!!!!  TTYL
