TO THE EDGE AND BACK

So, Cookie is here on holiday.  Suuurrrrre!  Yesterday morning she got up by six am.  Six.  She did take time for coffee and a slice of toast, showered and dressed.  Then she hit the ground running.

First she cleaned the kitchen (keep in mind that when the kids left she scrubbed down the bathroom and cleaned the bedrooom) then, as planned the night before, took the den by storm.  She reorganized containers, moved a ton of crap, cleaned and scrubbed the now empty shelves, moved said shelves, reloaded them in a most organized way, took out garbage, vacuumed and washed ledges, filled the closet in a most orderly manner with beach chairs, beach bags, left over boxes of flooring, more containers, more chairs, coolers etc….I got tired watching!

Then, when she was done we donned bathing suits and headed to the pool for an hour.  We basically had it to ourselves which was nice.  Then, after dressing we headed into town to the mall.  We shopped all over it while Spod read his book at Starbucks.  I finally bought myself a Henkle knife, a really sharp one.  We took a Kihei tour on the way home to make salmon burgers for dinner.

Today we took off around 11 out to the edge of the earth…or the backside of Haleakala.  It is so incredibly beautiful out there.  We stopped off at Gramma's to buy sandwiches for a picnic at our fave church…way out there.  Truly the most beautiful spot on Maui.  Now we are home, we have eaten dinner, Cookie once again did the dishes and cleaned the kitchen.  Now its time to relax and plan tomorrow!  TTYL

AND EVERYONE SAYS MY HAIR IS CRAZY!

SHE HAD TO SQUAT DOWN SO THE WIND WOULDN'T PUSH HER OVER THE EDGE
